What struck me the most about these 2 episodes is how manipulative and ruthless Young can be when she wants to. But it’s not like I blame her. I HOPE she keeps it up because her strength and resolve is probably the most attractive thing about her. Much like Oh Soo, I’m both in love with her and terrified of her. Oh Soo, let’s hold hands, this is going to get rough.
Like here, when she reprimands him for taking Secretary Wang’s side by caring about her health…The logic is insane – “if you keep pestering me about my health, you will turn into someone I despise”, but because it’s Young, Oh Soo can’t do anything but yield to her demands to leave the issue of her health alone.
I don’t think I will ever get tired of the cinematography and the colors in this drama. And trust me, I’m sick of winter.
Aaaaaand, we are back to sexual tension.
If she could only see his smitten smile…she would not believe he is her brother for a second.
Bringing her to the top of the mountain to listen to the wind chimes produced by the frozen tree branches…shwang wang wang. Guys, I’m so naive, but I’m kind of hoping this really exists.
He might as well have went down on his knees and proposed to her. This scene cannot get more romantic.
I screamed because I WAS SURE SHE WAS GOING IN FOR A FULL ON KISS.
But, no. Everyone can relax. Incest is yet to come.
Oh Soo molesting his sister in the night Round 2.
Thanks drama, for turning me into a creep as well. Because I recapped the hell out of this scene to make sure there was skin contact.
And there was, RIGHT?
Oh Soo’s voiceover: “more than Youngie, it was me who was going to get brutally hurt.” Yeah, you just figured it out?
Feeling bad for this witch – no one in their right mind, ever.
I must have misunderstood their whole exchange on the pill because I don’t quite get why she became so disappointed with him for giving her a pill that might kill her. What did you think it was, honey? Only thing that can make you feel at peace is either sleep or death and she should’ve figured out which one it was from his insistence on trying to get it back from her.
Amazing, how she still looks like royalty, even when she is a mess.
These two are too cute for the misery that is this drama. Please go make out somewhere else.
“Good thing you are my sister because if you were my woman, I would have asked you what the hell is your deal”
Funny, how he still manages to ask just that and in general treat her like his woman.
Ughhh, my favorite scene of this week’s batch.
If looks could bring someone on the brink of an orgasm…kill.
She pulls away.
Grabs her wrist.
She slaps him.
“It must have been easy to fool a blind person like me. Really easy.”
Tries to embrace her.
She pulls away one last time and staggers back.
“Why. Why couldn’t you kill me.”
I just love how their physical intimacy gets disrupted by their emotional distance time and time again.
I know some people started to feel fatigued by this drama and like I mentioned before, I’m not all that affected by certain aspects of it (like the pill mind games or the overly romantic mountain top scene) but overall, I would say that I’m still obsessed with this couple. Everything about them just works for me – the playfulness, the intimacy, the sexual tension, the denial, the subtle care, the little lies and the significant half-truths, the outright love they feel for each other, laced with despair and impossibility. This week is when I began to feel in earnest that this might become one of my favorite Kdramas ever, eclipsing the long-standing darling of mine – Coffee Prince.
